Annual Summary for 2008

Time flies so quickly,another year will pass.

What I have learnt in this year?

What I have gone through in the year?

What I have achieve in this year?

I have worked in this company for more than one year,and I am gradually familar with the company's operating system and management philosophy,so firstly to conclude myself business:

One.Professional ability

1-I have some understanding of the company and its products,and gradually familiar with the company's products and various specifications,and also know the basic production flow of mould,and the possible issues will occur in every steps.

2-I have got some idea of the SMC mould market,the SMC mould is widely applied in automotive parts,electrical box,sanitary,antenna and so on.So the prospect is cheerful,the possiblity of developing new markets is very high.

3-I have grasped basic business skill,to develop market on free B2B website,and gradually grasp the skills of negotiaion,be a consultant of sales skills,everything starts from customers.We should continously ask in the email,phone and visit ,getting their demands from the answers,then we will acheive maximum result with little effort.For example,if the customer needs high quality product,you can quote a better product to him,a little expensive is ok;on the contrary,it the customer wants to purchase cheap product,your quotation shouldn't be too high,or the opportunity will be lost.In fact ,business can be simplied as "know or activate the demands,and to meet the needs"

Two.Personal Quality

1. Honesty

honest and reliable ,win the trust from client.

2.Passion

Only if you have a passion for this job,you will involve yourself in your career,especially foregin business,because foreign trade is a long process.

3.Patient

In this industry,Maybe it will take half a year or one year to develop a new customer ,or even longer.So,in this long process,you should be patient when you still don't have order but your colleague has , rainbow comes after a storm.

4.Self-confident

Generally speaking,there are many customer ,but there is only some customers who give your orders.So,maybe in morst of the time ,salesman are doing idle work,but you should be self -confident,many potential customers needs to be real customer in a very long time,strong self-confidence is needed if you want to be excellent in the business.

At present,with production capacity to be enlarged ,the sale also will grow up,be active in domestic market,for the foreign trade just start,many places needs to be developed.The following is what I need to do in the furture work and related requirements.

How to learn english well

To learn English well one has to learn to think in English at every turn.

All matters whether important or trivial

All events ,however small,you should be responsible for details,as it is written in the book of "success or failure depends on details".

Today I have made two mistakes,very silly mistakes.One is that I look on year of 2008 as 2009 in the order,another is that I have copied the wrong information to others but it is not what I intended.Although these two mistakes don't cause much damage,I am ashamed of my fault and feel uneasy,I often give people a carless impression,and it is time that I reflect upon my carlessness.

Why I always make mistakes? the main cause has the following aspects:
1-Not focus on what I am doing.
2-Not self-check when getting something done,especially not check the critical point,such as sum,qty and other main points of a quotation or a sales confirmation.

So in order to overcome this shortcoming,what I should do next?
1-When working,you should concentrate and not allow yourself to be distracted.
2-Get into the habit of self-check with thinking when one action is performed,check twice at least.

Ready to go ,come on!!!

you needn't worry

You needn't worry about the problem which can be solved,and aslo no need to worry if cann't be solved.
There are two choices for you:
Once upon a time ,there was a young man who is in the military age,the result was to be marine corps,which was the most hardest armed branches.

The young man was in a pensive mood,almost cared neither for food nor drink.His sapiential grandfather began to enlighten grandson.

Old grandfather said :" boy ,you don't need to worry actually,when you are became the member of marine corps,you have two chances in the troops;one is inside job ,another is outside job,if you are assigned to the office work,then there is no need to worry."

The young man asked:"if i am assigned to the outside work,and then ?"

Old grandfather said :"aslo two chances,one is in this island,another is assigned to offshore island."

The young man asked:"if i am assigned to the offshore island,what then?"

Old grandfather said :"still two chances,one is behind the lines ,anther is foward.All in all ,it is very easy in the rear area.

The young man asked again:"if i am assigned to the forefront ,what then?"

Old grandfather said:"there are still two chances left for you,one is guard ,retire from arm safely,another is have a accident."
The young man asked:"if meet a accident,what then?"
Old grandfather said:"there are two chances as well,one is fleshwound,and are send back to this island,another is severe injuries ,maybe incurable."
This is the most terrible thing, the young man asked with a trembling voice:"if i met the latter?"

Old grand father laughed and said:"you are already died,there is no need to worry at all,but i will be worry,the old with white-hair was left by the dead young,that is not very good."

What life owns is different choices,it depends on you how to look at these numberous choices,try to look on both sides of one thing every coin has two sides or more,you will find that when everything is clear ,the inward fear will be reduced to zero.

You also have two choices now,
one is share this letter with others ,another is introspection and intake it.

The buck stops here

Ultimately,I have understood this principle:let the matter drop,call it a day!
I always pass the buck to others ever before,and never try to solve the problem.

What a pity

What a pity it is I hold back from greeting him.

Maybe it is not a polite way,or I am too shy,but after all,I think I should step forward to shake hands with him.

It is necessary for a businessman,not just wait.Stop imaging ,be postistive.

Don't ask or answer immediately

Before answer one's question,you should think about this question again and again,then ask or reply carefully.

For example:
Eg 1.About the metal shims,you should conclude that maybe you are not very clear about this thing and you should tell him that I am not very clear about what you say ,maybe you can get answer from others,give him a choice, people always don't like a silly or stupid.

Gossip is a fearful thing

Today I fully understand this principle,no matter where you are ,no matter who you talk with,pay attention to what you say.

Shut your mouth!

Unitl now,I realize the art of speech,pay attention to our speech and speak well as follows:
An urgent matter ,which needs to speak slowly;
A major event,which needs to speak clearly;
A slight matter,which needs to speak humorously;

Speak carefully about doing things of which you are not sure;
Stop your nonsense about something that hasn't happened yet;
Don't speak carelessly about anythings that you are unable to do ;
You cann't say what that does harm to others.

For nuisance, concerning self with facts and not with individuals;
Talking about something nice on the proper occasion;
Not tell everyone you meet about sad things;

Speak carefully about other people's affairs;
Listen to your heart when speaking about your business;

Current thing ,just do it;
Tomorrow thing,just talk about it tomorrow;

If you have any dissatisfaction with me,be sure to tell me ,because I am eager to listening.

16 Things

So here are 16 things

1. The 80/20 rule.
This is one of the best ways to make better use of your time. The 80/20 rule – also known as The Pareto Principle – basically says that 80 percent of the value you will receive will come from 20 percent of your activities.
So a lot of what you do is probably not as useful or even necessary to do as you may think.
You can just drop – or vastly decrease the time you spend on – a whole bunch of things.
And if you do that you will have more time and energy to spend on those things that really brings your value, happiness, fulfilment and so on.

2. Parkinson’s Law.
You can do things quicker than you think. This law says that a task will expand in time and seeming complexity depending on the time you set aside for it. For instance, if you say to yourself that you’ll come up with a solution within a week then the problem will seem to grow more difficult and you’ll spend more and more time trying to come up with a solution.
So focus your time on finding solutions. Then just give yourself an hour (instead of the whole day) or the day (instead of the whole week) to solve the problem. This will force your mind to focus on solutions and action.
The result may not be exactly as perfect as if you had spent a week on the task, but as mentioned in the previous point, 80 percent of the value will come from 20 percent of the activities anyway. Or you may wind up with a better result because you haven’t overcomplicated or overpolished things. This will help you to get things done faster, to improve your ability to focus and give you more free time where you can totally focus on what’s in front of you instead of having some looming task creating stress in the back of your mind.

3. Batching.
Boring or routine tasks can create a lot of procrastination and low-level anxiety. One good way to get these things done quickly is to batch them. This means that you do them all in row. You will be able to do them quicker because there is less “start-up time” compared to if you spread them out. And when you are batching you become fully engaged in the tasks and more focused.
A batch of things to do in an hour today may look like this: Clean your desk / answer today’s emails / do the dishes / make three calls / write a grocery shopping list for tomorrow.

4. First, give value. Then, get value. Not the other way around.
This is a bit of a counter-intuitive thing. There is often an idea that someone should give us something or do something for us before we give back. The problem is just that a lot of people think that way. And so far less than possible is given either way.
If you want to increase the value you receive (money, love, kindness, opportunities etc.) you have to increase the value you give. Because over time you pretty much get what you give. It would perhaps be nice to get something for nothing. But that seldom happens.

5. Be proactive. Not reactive.
This one ties into the last point. If everyone is reactive then very little will get done. You could sit and wait and hope for someone else to do something. And that happens pretty often, but it can take a lot of time before it happens.
A more useful and beneficial way is to be proactive, to simply be the one to take the first practical action and get the ball rolling. This not only saves you a lot of waiting, but is also more pleasurable since you feel like you have the power over your life. Instead of feeling like you are run by a bunch of random outside forces.

6. Mistakes and failures are good.
When you are young you just try things and fail until you learn. As you grow a bit older, you learn from - for example - school to not make mistakes. And you try less and less things.
This may cause you to stop being proactive and to fall into a habit of being reactive, of waiting for someone else to do something. I mean, what if you actually tried something and failed? Perhaps people would laugh at you?
Perhaps they would. But when you experience that you soon realize that it is seldom the end of the world. And a lot of the time people don’t care that much. They have their own challenges and lives to worry about.
And success in life often comes from not giving up despite mistakes and failure. It comes from being persistent.
When you first learn to ride your bike you may fall over and over. Bruise a knee and cry a bit. But you get up, brush yourself off and get on the saddle again. And eventually you learn how to ride a bike. If you can just reconnect to your 5 year old self and do things that way - instead of giving up after a try/failure or two as grown-ups often do – you would probably experience a lot more interesting things, learn valuable lessons and have quite a bit more success.

7. Don’t beat yourself up.
Why do people give up after just few mistakes or failures? Well, I think one big reason is because they beat themselves up way too much. But it’s a kinda pointless habit. It only creates additional and unnecessary pain inside you and wastes your precious time. It’s best to try to drop this habit as much as you can.

8. Assume rapport.
Meeting new people is fun. But it can also induce nervousness. We all want to make a good first impression and not get stuck in an awkward conversation.
The best way to do this that I have found so far is to assume rapport. This means that you simply pretend that you are meeting one of your best friends. Then you start the interaction in that frame of mind instead of the nervous one.
This works surprisingly well. You can read more about it in How to Have Less Awkward Conversations: Assuming Rapport.

9. Use your reticular activation system to your advantage.
I learned about the organs and the inner workings of the body in class but nobody told me about the reticular activation system. And that’s a shame, because this is one of the most powerful things you can learn about. What this focus system, this R.A.S, in your mind does is to allow you to see in your surroundings what you focus your thoughts on. It pretty much always helps you to find what you are looking for.
So you really need to focus on what you want, not on what you don’t want. And keep that focus steady.
Setting goals and reviewing them frequently is one way to keep your focus on what’s important and to help you take action that will move your closer to toward where you want to go. Another way is just to use external reminders such as pieces of paper where you can, for instance, write down a few things from this post like “Give value” or “Assume rapport”. And then you can put those pieces of paper on your fridge, bathroom mirror etc.

10. Your attitude changes your reality.
We have all heard that you should keep a positive attitude or perhaps that “you need to change your attitude!”. That is a nice piece of advice I suppose, but without any more reasons to do it is very easy to just brush such suggestions off and continue using your old attitude.
But the thing that I’ve discovered the last few years is that if you change your attitude, you actually change your reality. When you for instance use a positive attitude instead of a negative one you start to see things and viewpoints that were invisible to you before. You may think to yourself “why haven’t I thought about things this way before?”.
When you change you attitude you change what you focus on. And all things in your world can now be seen in a different light.
This is of course very similar to the previous tip but I wanted to give this one some space. Because changing your attitude can create an insane change in your world. It might not look like it if you just think about it though. Pessimism might seem like realism. But that is mostly because your R.A.S is tuned into seeing all the negative things you want to see. And that makes you “right” a lot of the time. And perhaps that is what you want. On the other hand, there are more fun things than being right all the time.
If you try changing your attitude for real – instead of analysing such a concept in your mind - you’ll be surprised.
You may want to read more about this topic in Take the Positivity Challenge!

11. Gratitude is a simple way to make yourself feel happy.
Sure, I was probably told that I should be grateful. Perhaps because it was the right thing to do or just something I should do. But if someone had said that feeling grateful about things for minute or two is a great way to turn a negative mood into a happy one I would probably have practised gratitude more. It is also a good tool for keeping your attitude up and focusing on the right things. And to make other people happy. Which tends to make you even happier, since emotions are contagious.

12. Don’t compare yourself to others.
The ego wants to compare. It wants to find reasons for you to feel good about yourself (“I’ve got a new bike!”). But by doing that it also becomes very hard to not compare yourself to others who have more than you (“Oh no, Bill has bought an even nicer bike!”). And so you don’t feel so good about yourself once again. If you compare yourself to others you let the world around control how you feel about yourself. It always becomes a rollercoaster of emotions.
A more useful way is to compare yourself to yourself. To look at how far you have come, what you have accomplished and how you have grown. It may not sound like that much fun but in the long run it brings a lot more inner stillness, personal power and positive feelings.

13. 80-90% of what you fear will happen never really come into reality.
This is a big one. Most things you fear will happen never happen. They are just monsters in your own mind. And if they happen then they will most often not be as painful or bad as you expected. Worrying is most often just a waste of time.
This is of course easy to say. But if you remind yourself of how little of what you feared throughout your life that has actually happened you can start to release more and more of that worry from your thoughts.

14. Don’t take things too seriously.
It’s very easy to get wrapped up in things. But most of the things you worry about never come into reality. And what may seem like a big problem right now you may not even remember in three years.
Taking yourself, your thoughts and your emotions too seriously often just seems to lead to more unnecessary suffering. So relax a little more and lighten up a bit. It can do wonders for your mood and as an extension of that; your life.

15. Write everything down.
If your memory is anything like mine then it’s like a leaking bucket. Many of your good or great ideas may be lost forever if you don’t make a habit of writing things down. This is also a good way to keep your focus on what you want. Read more about it in Why You Should Write Things Down.

16. There are opportunities in just about every experience.
In pretty much any experience there are always things that you can learn from it and things within the experience that can help you to grow. Negative experiences, mistakes and failure can sometimes be even better than a success because it teaches you something totally new, something that another success could never teach you.
Whenever you have a “negative experience” ask yourself: where is the opportunity in this? What is good about this situation? One negative experience can – with time – help you create many very positive experiences.

WK48-《Chicken soup for the soul》

Nov 26th,2008

One at a time

You cann't change the world ,but you can start with yourself.Sometimes I find that so many new words are too difficult to memorize,but now I think it is easy to recite one new words,so just make a difference to that one,then you can make a great progress.

Love the Job

From 《Chicken Soup》

Every day we hear about people making radical career changes. The opportunities exist, but will all these changes make us any happier once we get there? Maybe the question is not "How can I get the job I'll love?", but "How can I love the job I have?" Following are four practical steps towards coming to terms with why you do what you're doing. Take some time to think about it, and you might be surprised by what you find.

1. Realize that your job does not define you, but how you do it does. There's a lot to be said for attitude, more than will fit here. Any job can be done well, done with compassion, done with care. Your attitude at work and the way you treat people --- even your mood --- does not go unnoticed. They have a profound influence on the people you work with. There are times when you can't control your situation, but you can always choose how you live in it.

2. Stop focusing on the money. Money will never be enough so stop using it (or the lack of it) as an excuse. Whatever you are bringing home on the 15th and 30th, there are always going to be things you could do or would do if you had more. Try taking tracking every penny you spend in a week. Seeing where your money is really going can help you to refocus your spending towards the things you really want. Getting paid is only one small part of what you do, your work has to be more than just a paycheck to be fulfilling.

____________________________________________________________________ Impressions of after-reading:I don't know what I really want until today.In the beginning ,I always thought that i am persuing for money in my life,but I am wrong.What I want is in no one's debt,including my parents,my sister,my relative,my friends and my BF as well.
After all,it is my duty which I cann't evade.Sometimes ,I feel very happy when undertaking the responsibility,which is hard to speak,maybe I only find my individual value from there,I wonder.
When i have repayed a debt for my parents or paid for my sister's school tuition,senses of achievement and pride arising spontaneously,that was the feeling of being approved and affirmed.
I sincerely wish myself to undertake more,thanks for the people who give me duty and who give me oppotunity to have the ability to undertake the duty,my boss,my colleague.I want to be a repsonsible person in the furture instead of evading or complaining life ,there is no use in grumbling.

3. Find the significance in what you do. This may require you to think big, but it can be done. Take some time to really think about what you do. Do you provide an essential service? Do you get to see the finished product? Do you give direction that gets things done? Then ask yourself "how is this job done differently because I am doing it?" Perspective plays a huge role in personal satisfaction and sense of well being. Try to remember why you took the job in the first place. If it was only going to be "for now" are you actively looking for other work?

4. Dare to ask yourself if it's worth it. If you can't find the part of your job that you like, or if you can see yourself turning into the person you said you would never be, consider the reasons. It may not be a new job that you need, just a new direction. Do you like the person you are doing this job? If not, are there changes you can make to the way you do your job or is the job itself the problem? Do you need to be doing a different position within the same company? Are additional responsibilities taking you away from the work you were hired to do? Maybe all that's needed is some refocusing. Learn to say "no". As much as you can choose the things you spend your time on, don't attend events or meetings only because everyone expects it.
Asking yourself why you do your job doesn't mean you're dissatisfied, just self-aware. This awareness can lead to greater job satisfaction, increased sense of well being and a little more control over what you do, rather than just "going along for the ride". For some, it may be time for a change — if so, don't be afraid of it. Change isn't necessarily bad, it's just different. For the rest of us, take a look around, you may find you've got a great view.

Take a look at your life. How would you describe it? Contented? Rushed? Exciting? Stressful? Moving forward? Holding back? For many of us it's all of the above at times. There are things we dream of doing one day, there are things we wish we could forget. In the Bible, it says that Jesus came to make all things new. What would your life look like if you could start over with a clean slate?

How to sell yourself

Believe in Yourself
You can’t effectively sell yourself if you don’t value who you are. You must have confidence in your abilities. Maintaining a high level of integrity and a high quality of work will help keep you self-assured. You need to feel proud of your actions so don’t do things that will undermine your efforts. Focus on building your confidence and being the person you want to be.

Share Your Knowledge
Knowledge is a valuable resource and it can make anyone look more attractive. Sell your skills by sharing your knowledge. Be willing to teach others what you know. This will not only help them, it will demonstrate your abilities at the same time. A win/win!

Share Your Experiences
Tell your story. People are drawn to those who are willing to open up and share their experiences. It will help you build strong connections with others. Remember that you are unique and there is value to be shared.

Be Authentic
Trust is a critical part of selling yourself. No one values dishonesty. Be genuine in your interactions with others and work to develop honest communication. The truth will earn respect and trust.

Present Yourself Professionally
Everything you do and say creates an image. You always want to present yourself with professionalism. This includes everything from your appearance to how you speak and how you shake hands. It’s always best to play it safe and follow formal business etiquette. Though things have relaxed quite a bit in most professional environments, formality is never viewed as unprofessional. When attempting to sell yourself, it can be a big added bonus.
Be Positive
Show positivity in your interactions with others. Smile, show interest and be enthusiastic. Don’t complain, engage in gossip or negative conversation. Keeping yourself upbeat will draw people to you.
Selling yourself is all about showing others who you are. The trick is to present yourself in the best possible light.

Knowledge and Common sense

Knowledge without common sense counts for nothing.
Today I read a news from qq.com,the news tells that four girls jumped from the sixth floor of Shanghai commercial college 's domitary for there was a fire.
I am deeply shocked by this news and aslo cause me to think a lot.
In fact,after only ten minutes when there was a fire,the firemen have arrived at the scene.but all four girls were jumped in four minutes later,not use timely ways to save themselves.lacking of common sense or knowledge?
So knowledge without common sense counts for nothing ,it is a pity that the four girls were died so young.

A.R.G

what is the meaning of A.R.G.
A = Anticipate
R= Research
G=Gumption
I learn it from the movie of "ugly betty",really very reasonable in our daily work.
No matter what has happened when we are working ,we should look on both sides of a shield.be optimistic.
